Things are slowing down a bit after the best summer that the Panama City real estate market has had in years. 136 single family houses sold last month at a median sales price of $152,000. The average house took 151 days to sell, and the average “dollars per square foot” figure was $93.
We ended October with 1308 houses on the market, which equates to 10 months worth of inventory.
Foreclosure cases continue to be filed at a rapid pace, with 168 new cases filed and 129 foreclosures completed. This indicates that a wave of distressed inventory may be crashing over us in 2013.
