Some welcome good news appeared in the News Herald on April 15. Our county unemployment rate dropped a full percentage point from February, to 10.3%. While that number is still way too high, it is movement in the right direction. Only people with jobs buy houses, so a falling jobless rate could lead to rising house sales. It is certainly a move in the right direction!
