I have said it before, and I will stay it again:  Unemployed people don’t buy houses!  We should not expect to see any significant increase in home sale until our workforce gets back to work.

One good thing is that we are getting ready to start Spring Break, which always gives the local economy a kick.  But seasonal jobs, while welcome, are not the answer.  Bay County needs industry that can keep our workers employed year around, and a wage base that will not only support our current workforce, but attract new workers to the county.

Then, and only then, will our home sales get back on track.
